How do you recruit and screen experts?

New projects typically begin with an alignment call so we can fully understand your research needs and how we can help you achieve your research objectives. Our project delivery team then input your requirements into our proprietary AI search technology.

We contact the experts that our technology has identified and assess each expert’s interest in participating in the project. Once confirmed, we ensure these experts have the required knowledge by verifying them through extensive research and through a series of screening questions.

Our project managers work through our project management methodology, establishing expert’s depth of knowledge of the project topic, along with any potential compliance risks.

Then, profiles are drawn up to highlight the expert's background and relevance, highlighting their suitability to speak on the topic. This, along with screening responses, is uploaded to our secure client portal. with a simple one-click to schedule. First experts are added within hours of project kick-off.

What's included as part of your service?

For all projects we custom recruit, screen, schedule and remunerate experts for their time. You will work with a dedicated project delivery team, led by an experienced healthcare and life science specialist project manager.

Who is Techspert?

Techspert is a specialist healthcare and life sciences expert network with offices in the UK, US and Chile. 

We connect subject matter experts with businesses that need their insights to make smarter decisions. The insights that our experts share with our customers go on to help improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Experts typically sign up for either a one hour call with our customer, or an online survey. All engagements are paid for at a pre-agreed rate, at their conclusion.  

As a long standing member of the the BHBIA (British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association), Techspert abides by market research industry standards as set out by the British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association (BHBIA) and EphMRA, closely following international and local codes of conducts, data privacy laws and ethical and legal guidelines. All Techspert’s project managers are BHBIA trained and certified.

Where did you get my contact details from?

Techspert uses publicly available information to gather or guess contact details, e.g. PubMed, clinical trials, hospital websites. Our teams reach out on a Legitimate Purpose basis.

How did you match me to this project?

You have received a message because we have matched your expertise to a consulting request.   

We source our data from public datasets online, such as academic journals, clinical trials registries, government documents and commercial registries, amongst others. From these we use a wide array of weighted data points to quantify your expertise relative to the requests of our clients. We also use AI and sentiment analysis to understand not only how impressive your CV is, but also how you're perceived within your peer groups and how well you can communicate your experience.

Sometimes we do get it wrong - if we have matched you incorrectly to a project, you can either:

  • Create a profile in our expert portal listing your true areas of expertise, here.
  • Decline the project and unsubscribe
  • Reply to the email or report the mismatch via expertsupport@techspert.com 

Who is commissioning this research?

Techspert works exclusively with businesses who operate in the healthcare and life sciences space: corporates, consultancies, marketing and advertising agencies, biotechs, medtechs, pharma companies, and financial services firms.  

Our clients vary in who they are, and why they may want to talk to an expert - so each engagement will be slightly different.

We make sure in advance that the objectives of the call are shared, and ensure that all calls are conducted in accordance with international and local codes of conducts, data privacy laws and ethical and legal guidelines. All of the project delivery team are trained and certified.

When and how will you pay me for my time?

All successful engagements are paid at a pre-agreed rate, and payments are sent from Techspert by the 8th day of the next month, typically on the fifth working day

All of our payments are made via our trusted payment provider, Wise. While you'll be offered a selection of payment methods, Wise is our top choice because it gets your money to you the fastest and in a highly secure manner.

To make it even quicker, we suggest setting up your free account before you accept a project with us - it means we know how to get your money to you from the outset, and you'll see the funds in your account automatically by the 8th of the following month after your call with our client.

Once the payment has been processed, you’ll receive an email from Wise with instructions regarding the withdrawal of your honorarium. This can then be withdrawn directly into the bank account of your choice. For more information about Wise, please see their website.

How do I sign up to hear about other opportunities?

You can sign up and create your profile on our expert portal, which you can access here. You will also have been sent a link to access your portal in any communications from the Techspert project delivery team.

Information that is beneficial to include in your profile includes:

  • Topics that you are comfortable consulting on
  • Previous and current work experience
  • Institutions and departments you have previously and currently worked in
  • Software you have purchased or evaluated
  • Vendors you have worked with
